Here are the details.
Yashaswini's criminal 'business' began in 2012
A few years ago, Yashaswini moved into Bengaluru with her history-sheeter husband Mahesh, alias Dadiya Mahesha. The couple's business in alleged crimes started in 2012, and a case was filed against Yashaswini in August 2012, alleging chain snatching, robbery, and extortion. Additionally, Yashaswini has two other chain snatching cases, and 10 other cases registered against her at the JP Nagar police station.

"I am sure of coming out clean from the court cases. I will protect our women and ensure Hindutva is upheld," said Yashaswini, commenting on her appointment.
Yashaswini and her husband runs a money lending 'business'
Currently, the couple and their two children live luxuriously at their residence in Subramanyapura, and have a money lending business. Her 'clientele' or victims are mostly middle-class and lower-middle-class women who fall prey to her schemes. Yashaswini, who has a history of assaulting and abusing debtors in public, is known for charging exorbitant interest rates, and people dread not repaying her, fearing the consequences.
Victims shocked, but Sene chief stands by the appointment
Reacting to her appointment as Sri Rama Sene's women's unit chief, several victims expressed their shock and disgust. Meanwhile, police have said that people are so scared of the 'Lady Don' that most victims don't even register cases against her. However, Sene chief Pramod Muthalik has stood by Yashaswini, saying that she's innocent until proven guilty, and that they're "happy to welcome her".
