Newborn's body with paper stuffed in mouth found on flight
In a shocking incident, the dead-body of an infant was found onboard a New Delhi-bound AirAsia flight inside the toilet. Delhi Police suspect the baby was delivered in a stillborn condition onboard the Imphal-Guwahati-New Delhi flight by a Guwahati woman; some reports claim she's a minor from Imphal. According to Sanjay Bhatia, DCP (Airport), an AirAsia flight manager informed the police that a fetus was discovered in the lavatory during the journey and a team of officials was dispatched. The flight landed at T-3 of Delhi's IGI Airport. Bhatia said, "A lady boarded from Guwahati. During journey in the flight, she delivered a premature dead fetus. The matter is being inquired into."

DCP Bhatia said that a preliminary probe suggests that the baby was delivered in a stillborn condition. However, some media reports claim police are investigating if the newborn was a stillborn as the infant was found with toilet paper stuffed inside its mouth, adding the mother appears to be a minor girl. A case of death on the flight has reportedly been registered.
