Australian biker killed by speeding bus on Yamuna Expressway
A 26-year-old Australian biker was killed when a speeding UP Roadways bus rammed into a truck and then hit the two-wheeler on the Yamuna Expressway this morning. The deceased has been identified as Mathew Antioredle. A few others were injured in the mishap, including his friends, the bus driver and the conductor. Some passengers sustained injuries too.
What happened?
According to police, the incident happened at around 8 am amid dense fog. The bus, heading towards Agra, rammed into a moving truck. The driver lost control and "hit the bike moving next to it". Antioredle was on his way to Agra with his friends. A school bus then hit the UP bus from behind and several vehicles piled up.
Antioredle was declared brought dead, his friends undergoing treatment
All the injured were rushed to hospital. The driver Dharmendra, the conductor Pushpendra, and two other passengers are currently undergoing treatment. Antioredle's friends sustained minor injuries too, but the Australian national was pronounced dead on arrival.
