FIR against Audi-driving couple who assaulted cabby, severely injuring him
A case has been registered against a journalist and his wife for assaulting an Ola cab driver in Ghatkopar, Mumbai, leaving him seriously injured. The incident occurred on August 18 around 11:20pm when the cab driven by 24-year-old Qayamuddin Ansari slightly touched the bumper of the Audi. According to Ansari's complaint, his cab was hit first from behind by the Audi near Asalpha Metro Station while he was en route to Ulwe in Navi Mumbai.
Assault followed minor collision, verbal abuse
Upon exiting his vehicle to assess the damage, he was reportedly verbally abused by the couple—identified as Rishabh Chakraborty (35) and Antara Ghosh (27). Ghosh also allegedly removed the Ola device from Ansari's car and drove away. Ansari then followed the Audi, leading to another collision at a building entrance opposite a mall in Ghatkopar.

Video captures physical assault, driver hospitalized
At this point, Chakraborty was captured on video exiting his vehicle and slapping Ansari before picking him up and smashing him headfirst onto the ground. The cab driver sustained head injuries from this assault and was immediately rushed to Rajawadi Hospital in Ghatkopar before being transferred to JJ Hospital due to the severity of his injuries. Following Ansari's complaint, Parksite Police have registered a case against Chakraborty and Ghosh. An arrest has yet to be made.
