ED arrests Shabir Shah's aid, Aslam Wani
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Sunday arrested Aslam Wani, a close aid of separatist leader Shabir Shah in connection with alleged terror funding case in Srinagar. Wani would be brought to Delhi later today. A non-bailable warrant has also been issued by a Delhi Court against Wani.
ED had registered case against Wani in 2007
The ED had registered a case against Aslam Wani in 2007 after Delhi Police's Special Cell had arrested him in 2005 and recovered a pistol and Rs. 62.9 lakh from him. Reportedly, Wani had earlier admitted to having worked for separatist leader Shabir Shah who is currently in ED's custody.
