Tamil Nadu: Government to offer UG engineering courses in Anna-University
Tamil Nadu government today introduced four undergraduate (UG) engineering courses in three zonal campuses of state-run Anna University. These campuses are situated in Tirunelveli, Madurai, and Coimbatore. Each course has 60 seats. Currently, the varsity was offering UG and PG courses in four campuses, besides 13 unitary colleges across TN. The decision was aimed to provide low-cost, quality technical education to economically backward students.
CM K Palaniswami directs university to launch UG courses
Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, K Palaniswami, stated, "I have directed launching of four UG (engineering)courses from this academic year (2018-19) in these zones."
