Ankur Garg: News

It is natural for human beings to have childhood dreams and work toward achieving them. It is also true that many of us fall short of that dream due to various reasons. There are others who deviate from their aspirations for better opportunities. Then there is Ankur Garg, a boy who decided to become a civil servant in the third standard and did not let anything sway him from that goal. Hailing from Punjab, Garg was born on June 14, 1980. His potential to accomplish great things was never in doubt as he secured the top rank in secondary and senior secondary exams. His love for math made it an easy choice for him to join IIT. Garg graduated from IIT in 2002. In the next year, in his first attempt, he topped the UPSC exam at the age of 22 and became the youngest ever to top the exam. He has worked in various important positions since then. He later completed his Masters in International Development from Harvard University.
