Andhra doctor, facing 'financial troubles, found dead with family members
In a shocking incident, five family members were found lifeless in their residence in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday morning The deceased include Dr. D Srinivas (40), his wife D Usha Rani (38), their two children, and Srinivas's mother D Ramanamma (70). According to Vijayawada East Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Adhiraj Singh Rana, four of them were found with their jugular veins slashed, and Srinivas was found hanging.
Investigation underway: Financial distress suspected as motive
The authorities suspect the incident took place on Monday night. The ongoing investigation is exploring the possibility that Srinivas, an orthopedician, might have ended the lives of his four family members before taking his own. "He was facing financial troubles and we are verifying that," stated Vijayawada East Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Adhiraj Singh Rana.
Doctor handed car keys to neighbor
On Monday night, the doctor handed over his car keys to a neighbour and asked him to pass them on to his brother. He informed the neighbour that all five of them were heading out. The police are investigating the case after filing a murder case under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Section 302 and a suicide case under CrPC Section 174.
