#HappyMothersDay: When mothers gave strength to my NewsBytes colleagues
I was at a loss for words as I began writing a NewsBytesapp.com/news/world/mother-s-day'>Mother's Day special. What can be written about the creator of all? Right? Nevertheless, there are still some tell-worthy tales. Which is why I asked my colleagues at NewsBytes to share stories of how their mothers never gave up on them. Just like the universe, we too owe it all to them.
When Gogona's mother understood she will never follow rules
Gogona quit studies after graduation, inviting criticism from her relatives. Her mother was the only one who understood what makes Gogona happy. She says, "Despite her personal dissatisfaction with my choice, she made sure she stood by me and decided to have faith that I knew what I was doing. Five years since I have seen a satisfactory career graph and made her proud."
A letter to Mom changed Manika's life for the good
Manika Singhal thought she let her family down by not cracking competitive exams. "I wrote a letter to letter to my mom on her birthday and after reading it she said, Manika don't worry, even if you didn't end up anywhere, you would definitely make for a good writer," Manika told. Now, we have an intern who impresses constantly. All thanks to Manika's mother.
Romesh's mother gave him the best life advice
Just like many of us, Romesh Khaddar didn't understand why we had to study all subjects. Recollecting his mother's words, Romesh said, "I would always be told, 'kuch padha likha bekar nahin jata' (nothing you ever read goes to waste)." PS: He graduated from IIT-Guwahati in 2008, and the 'tech-guy' is one of the co-founders of NewsBytes. All because of her advice.
At 27, Mudit draws his strength from his 65-year-old mother
A few months ago, Mudit Dube was diagnosed with a form of eczema, and later diabetes, that put brakes on his normal life. "At 27, I am unable to walk and have a normal life, and my mother, at 65, continues to be my physical and mental support," he said. Well, mothers are really the strongest creatures we know.
We are, because you are!
The angels that they are, our mothers just understand everything, even if we don't talk about it (like that ugly break-up). Nothing ever written or said about mothers can be good enough. All we can do is shower love on her, till eternity and beyond.
