AMU alumnus pic with Hizbul Mujahideen operatives surfaces on social-media
What's the story
A new photo of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) PhD scholar Mannan Wani, who was in the news a few months back for joining terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen, has surfaced on social media.
The new photo shows Wani posing with Hizbul Mujahideen's most-wanted operative Saifullah, and one Hafiz Aadil.
Wani had, according to reports, joined the terror outfit on January 5.

Police are investigating whether Wani radicalized others
Security agencies tracking scores of Kashmiri youth who might have joined terrorist outfits stumbled upon the latest photograph of Mannan Wani and shared it with the UP Police a few days back.
It has been passed on to the anti-terrorist squad of the UP Police.
Police are currently investigating whether Wani, whose whereabouts are unknown, had been radicalizing youths at AMU.

Cyber experts trying to uncover location of photo upload
"We are trying to find out if he [Wani] is in touch with youths in Aligarh. We are taking help of Aligarh police and have deputed cyber experts to find out from where the photograph was uploaded," said Asim Arun, inspector general of UP anti-terrorist squad.

Hizbul Mujahideen announces the inclusion of Mannan Wani
Mannan Bashir Wani, son of Bashir Ahmed Wani, was pursuing a PhD in applied geography at the AMU when he made the news in January for his alleged ties to the Hizbul Mujahideen.
Wani went missing on 2nd January, and three days later, Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin released a statement confirming Wani's inclusion in the terror outfit's ranks.
