Government announces Digital India Internship Scheme: Details here
The government has announced yet another exciting opportunity for students, especially for those in engineering. The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has launched the Digital India Internship Scheme, a two-month internship for undergraduates. Selected candidates can get up to Rs. 10,000 a month. Here's all you need to know about the program.
All about the two-month internship
This internship will give students a chance to put their knowledge acquired in classrooms to practical use and gain first-hand experience in matters related to e-governance, the IT-ITeS industry, innovation infrastructure in technology, development of e-skills, and cyber space. They will have qualified mentors supervising them. The two-month program can be extended up to three depending upon the intern's capabilities and the MeitY's requirement.
Interns can earn Rs. 10,000 per month
Chosen interns will get a remuneration of Rs. 10,000 a month, subject to satisfactory performance, as well as certificates. The remuneration will be paid after completion of internship and submission of report. The program will be offered twice a year - summer (May-June) and winter (December-January).
