The Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), in collaboration with the State Bank of India (SBI) and Union Bank (UBI), operates the Loyalty scheme. Under the scheme, users can use special credit and prepaid cards to book train tickets online, and avail lucrative rewards, services, and offers. Here's all you need to know about the scheme.
Types of cards
There are currently two types of cards on offer by the IRCTC, under the Loyalty scheme. These are 1) IRCTC SBI Platinum Credit card, and 2) IRCTC UBI-RuPay Prepaid Card.
SBI Co-Brand Platinum Credit Card Benefits
IRCTC-SBI Co-branded Platinum credit card offers up to 10% value-back as Reward Points for booking train-tickets online for AC-1, AC-2, AC-3, and AC-CC travel classes. The card also helps save 1.8% payment gateway transaction charges. Users get 1 Reward point (= Rs. 1) for every Rs. 125 spent on non-fuel retail purchases, including train tickets.

The card also offers 350 Activation Bonus Reward Points on spending Rs. 500 or more within 45 days of card issuance. Furthermore, you'll get freedom from paying fuel surcharge at all petrol pumps across India, on transactions between Rs. 500 to Rs. 3,000, exclusive of GST and other charges. Other benefits include exciting offers on Travel, Dining, Hotel Merchants and other services from VISA.
