Introduced by the Railways Ministry in 2015, in order to replace Premium trains and provide confirmed accommodation to the passengers, Suvidha Trains are special trains that run on the routes that have high demand, and for which, the passengers are willing to pay extra amount for a confirmed ticket. Suvidha Train tickets can be booked online as well as offline. Here's more on this.
Rules about ticket types, Advance Reservation-Period, fare system, permissible quota
Initially, only Confirmed and RAC (Reserved Against Cancellation) tickets were issued for Suvidha trains. However, with effect from 14/01/2016, waitlisted tickets can also be booked. The maximum Advance Reservation Period for Suvidha Trains is 120 days. For confirmed as well as RAC passengers, dynamic fares are charged. Notably, only General quota booking is applicable in these trains.

No concession whatsoever is allowed on these trains- full adult fare is charged from all passengers, irrespective of their age. Further, free passes, complimentary passes, warrant, and concessional vouchers etc. are not applicable for travel in these trains. Waitlisted tickets are charged at the value of the last ticket booked for that class. Class upgradation option is not available in these trains.
