CBI books AirAsia CEO, others for violating 5/20, FIPB rules
CBI has registered a case against AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes and others over alleged violation of 5/20 rule and FIPB rules for getting international flying licenses. Fernandes allegedly lobbied with government servants for clearances, removal of existing 5/20 rule, and change in regulatory policies. The 5/20 rule means a company needs 5 years of experience and 20 aircraft to get the license.
