
Air India passenger found dead with seatbelt fastened after landing

A passenger was found dead with his seatbelt still fastened on an Air India flight after it landed at the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow.
The plane had arrived from New Delhi and touched down at 8:10am on Friday.
The body has been identified as that of 52-year-old Aashif Daulla Ansari, a resident of Gopalganj in Bihar, Times of India reported.

Fellow passengers alerted crew to the situation
The paper reported that a fellow passenger noticed that Ansari didn't respond when a stewardess tried clearing his meal and drinks after landing.
"The victim had not even unbuckled his seatbelt nor touched his food plate," they said.
A group of doctors who were traveling also checked him and confirmed he had no pulse.
Response
Medical team responded immediately, says airport spokesperson
Confirming the death, a Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport spokesperson said, "This morning, a male passenger, who was unwell arrived at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, Lucknow."
The representative confirmed that their medical team immediately sprang into action. They first provided first aid, then rushed him to the hospital in the Advanced Life Support ambulance.

Investigation into the circumstances of Ansari's death
However, despite immediate medical attention, Ansari was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Circumstances of his death remain unclear. The cause of his death will be ascertained after the postmortem report is released.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
