Four-year-old abducted Delhi girl rescued from Rajasthan: Police
A four-year-old girl, who was kidnapped by a childless couple from northwest Delhi, was rescued from Rajasthan, police said today. On July 3, the girl was kidnapped by a 30-year-old woman from JJ Colony when she was playing. When a child's mother, a laborer, returned from work she couldn't find her, following which the police were informed and a case was registered. Here's more.
Police traced couple through mobile number and arrested them
After an investigation, police got to know about a woman, who was last seen with the child. The woman's parents told police that they disowned her after she left her husband and four children for another man, the police said. The police then contacted her first husband, who gave them her second husband's number. The police then traced the childless couple and arrested them.
Accused woman had undergone tubectomy and couldn't conceive
During interrogation, the accused couple told police they got married one year ago. The woman had undergone tubectomy and couldn't conceive. She was consulting doctors and someone had suggested her to approach RML Hospital doctors. "She thought that the treatment would take a long time and decided to kidnap a child. Following which she visited JJ colony and kidnapped the girl," the police added.
