Haryana: 7 killed, 4 injured in accident due to heavy-fog
Seven people were killed and four injured when a vehicle rammed into two SUVs due to heavy fog on the Ambala-Chandigarh national highway today, police said. "Two cars coming from Chandigarh were hit by another vehicle. The accident took place as heavy fog limited visibility. The injured people have been hospitalized," they said. Dense fog reduces visibility, 8 killed in highway pileup
Earlier on Monday, eight people were killed when dense fog led to a pile-up of 50 vehicles on a national highway in Haryana's Jhajjar district. All the deceased were going to Najafgarh in Delhi to condole the death of a relative. Haryana Agriculture, Development and Panchayat Minister, O.P. Dhankar said compensation of Rs. 2L will be given to kin of the deceased.
