Mathura police rescues 15-year-old girl, nabs 6 for sex trafficking
A 15-year-old girl from Assam was rescued from a private guest house in Mathura by the Kotwali Police. According to a police officer, six people were booked for their alleged involvement in human trafficking. Meanwhile, police are still hunting for a man and a woman who played a vital role in the sex racket, said Superintendent of Police (Mathura) Shravan Kumar Singh.
One of the accused evading police arrest for similar case
The SP said the girl was first brought to Delhi from Assam with the promise of a job. She was then taken to Mathura by a person named Jeetu, who has been evading police arrest in another case with the same inducement. The girl was found in an unconscious state and was sent for a medical examination and is said be in normal condition.
Local residents alerted police of suspicious activities in guest house
The police rescued the girl after the local residents alerted them about some suspicious activities going on in the guest house. The police have identified four of the six accused as Aditya (Rajasthan), Anuj Kumar (Haryana), Akhilesh Kumar (Bihar) and Manoj Kumar (UP). All the accused have been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) Act.
