5.8-magnitude earthquake jolts Myanmar-India border region
What's the story
A 5.8-magnitude earthquake struck the Myanmar-India border region on Wednesday, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) reported.
The quake's epicenter was reported at a shallow depth of 10km.
However, there are no confirmed reports of damage or casualties from this seismic event as of now.
Tremors were felt in some parts of the Northeast region, including Dimapur district in Nagaland and Shillong, Meghalaya.

Local authorities are now evaluating the impact of the earthquake on the region.
Northeast Now reported that a moderate earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale struck near Yairipok in Manipur around 11.06 am on Wednesday.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located around 44 kilometers east of Yairipok.
No injuries or damages were reported in this tremor either.
