Harssh Poddar IPS created an army to fight crime, terror
Harssh Poddar, a 2013-batch IPS officer of Maharashtra cadre, is known for his innovative policing strategies and initiatives. His Youth Parliament Championship initiative created over 2 lakh young leaders to fight crime and terror in 18 districts of Maharashtra. Among other initiatives, he launched the Udaan project to provide free coaching and career counseling to students. He's currently posted as the DCP of Nagpur.
Rema Rajeshwari has launched various initiatives for people's welfare
Rema Rajeshwari, a 2009-batch IPS officer, is currently posted as the SP of Telangana's Mahabubnagar. Some of her initiatives include "Gender Peace Program" for sensitivity training of police officers, setting up "She Teams" in Hyderabad to control eve-teasers, launching "Balyaniki Raksha" for child safety and fighting child sexual abuse. She also launched an anti-fake news initiative and helped in transforming a dilapidated rural school.
IPS officer Santosh Kumar Mishra educated poor children for free
Santosh Kumar Mishra, a 2012-batch IPS officer, used to educate poor children for free when he was posted in Uttar Pradesh's Ambedkar Nagar. Apart from fulfilling his primary duty of maintaining law and order, he educated underprivileged children to improve the state of education during his time off duty. He was recently appointed as the Senior Superintendent of Police in Uttar Pradesh's Etawah.
Atul Kulkarni launched initiatives to improve women safety, tackle drug-abuse
Atul Kulkarni, a 2015-batch IPS officer, is currently the ASP of Bhayandar, Thane in Maharashtra. He launched initiatives to bridge the gap between the public and the police by setting up a women's cell called "Bharosa Cell" and a Drug Cell. These initiatives helped change the face of women safety in Thane and also tackled the problem of drug abuse in the area.
IAS Officer Ashish Tiwari transformed lives in Naxal-affected Bahuar
Ashish Tiwari, a 2012-batch Uttar Pradesh-cadre IPS officer, launched several initiatives for the betterment of people in the state's Naxal-affected Bahuar village when he was the SP of Mirzapur. He adopted smart policing strategies, transformed a village school, and introduced "green brigades" of women to combat gambling, domestic abuse, and keeping a check on Naxal activities. He is currently the SP of UP's Jaunpur.
