Maharashtra: Bus falls into 500-feet-deep valley, 30 dead
What's the story
A bus fell into a 500-feet-deep valley near Mahabaleshwar, Maharashtra, on Saturday, and 32 passengers have reportedly lost their lives.
It started its journey from Dapoli Agriculture University in Raigad district this morning. Most of the passengers were staff members of the University, who were going for a picnic, media reports suggested.
It met with an accident near Raigad-Satara district's boundary.

ANI reported that an NDRF team reached the mountain road in Ambenali Ghat where the accident took place. Rescue operations are underway. Some unconfirmed media reports stated that the bus was carrying 40 passengers at the time of the accident.
