JEE Main answer key, answer sheets released
The CBSE has released the official answer keys for the 2018 JEE Main today, along with answer sheets of the pen-paper exam. You can raise objections to the answers or your recorded responses if they're wrong. Results will officially be declared on April 30. Successful candidates will be eligible to appear the Advanced, which will decide admission into IITs and other engineering colleges.
Here's how you can check the answer key
Visit the official JEE Main website at www.jeemain.nic.in. There are two options on the bottom of the page - you can either view/challenge answer keys of Paper I, or your recorded responses in Paper I. You will have to login with your application number, date of birth and security pin. Make sure to save a copy on your computer.
You can raise objections by paying a refundable fee
Candidates will have till midnight on April 27 to raise objections to the CBSE's answer key and recorded responses. You will have to pay Rs. 1,000 per question that you want reviewed. If your plea is accepted, the fee will be refunded. This is to keep away trivial and insincere objections. Objections can be raised only online.
2.2L successful candidates will appear the Advanced in May
Of the 12L who appeared the JEE Main, some 2.2L will be shortlisted for the Advanced, scheduled to be held on May 20. Registrations will begin on May 2. For the first time, the Advanced is going completely online this year. To allow students to familiarize themselves with the pattern and style, IIT-Kanpur will hold mock tests during May 1-5.
