Delhi: 2 minors, mentally-challenged woman raped
Delhi was shamed yet again after three rape incidents came to light this Sunday. In one incident, a minor was raped by her father's friend in Central Delhi while in the other case, a minor was raped by a 36-year-old man in Kamla Market. In the third incident, a 38-year-old mentally challenged woman was allegedly raped by a cab driver.
The three brutal sexual assault cases
In two of the sexual attacks on the minors, one was taken by her father's friend and was allegedly raped by him and three other teenagers while the other was lured with sweets by a 36-year-old widower who raped her in front of his teenage daughter. In another case, a cab driver raped a mentally-challenged woman on pretext of offering the victim a job.
Accused arrested, but is Delhi becoming any safe for women?
Delhi is infamous as India's rape capital and the three rape incidents within a day just reinforced the same. Out of the three accused, two have been arrested while a hunt is underway to nab the third who has been identified. With the three brutal sexual assaults coming to light it becomes difficult to believe that Delhi is any safe for women.
