In a shocking incident which raises concerns about anger among teens, a 17-year-old beat his mother with a broom as she discussed his marks with neighbors. The video of the incident, shot by the boy's sister, has gone viral and shows him confronting his mother, TOI reports. The boy was identified as Jeevan and is a resident of Chennammanakere, Bengaluru. Here's what happened.
Jeevan scolded his mother for badmouthing him
In the clip, the mother, named Sudha, can be seen sitting on a sofa while Jeevan 'scolded' her for badmouthing him. He tells her to stop discussing his marks with the neighbors. Apparently, she had spoken with them about his habits and how he doesn't concentrate on studies. Soon Jeevan hit his mother with the broom and she screamed.
Police filed a case, let Jeevan go after he apologized
The video also shows his sister trying to intervene, but Jeevan tells her he doesn't care even if she approaches the police. Sudha advises her daughter to stay away. Notably, JP Nagar police station registered a suo muto case on Saturday, but let Jeevan go after he apologized. Jeevan said sorry to his mother and gave an undertaking that he wouldn't repeat the mistake.

"The son was upset with the mother as she allegedly badmouthed him in the neighborhood. Recently, the woman was seen talking to her neighbors on the future of her son as he was not serious about life and faring badly in studies," said the police.
