UP: 15-year-old thrashed, hung from tree for resisting molestation

In a shameful incident, a 15-year-old was thrashed to death and hung from a tree on Tuesday for resisting a molestation bid in Uttar Pradesh. Mainpuri additional police superintendent O P Singh said the girl was returning home from school with her two friends. They had gone to attend a function on Gandhi Jayanti. He said the victim was hung using her dupatta. Her brother identified three accused as Shivam, Mangal and Vikas, residents of a nearby village, who were arrested. The fourth accused was identified as Ranveer.
