Himachal Pradesh: 15 dead as private bus falls in gorge
On Thursday, a private bus carrying around 50 people fell into a gorge in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. At least 15 people have died and many have been injured. The incident took place near the Banjar area of Kullu. Reportedly, the bus was on its way from Banjar to Gadagushani area. Meanwhile, the rescue operations are underway.
Several passengers were sitting on top of the bus
"Number of casualties is likely to rise as more bodies have been spotted," said Kullu Superintendent of Police. Separately, witnesses told that the bus was overcrowded, with several passengers sitting on top of the bus.
