Blast on Kolkata's Dum Dum Cantt railway-line, 10 bombs recovered
One person was injured in an explosion at Kolkata's Dum Dum cantonment railway-line today. Ten crude bombs were recovered from the site later. The mishap happened when a scavenger accidentally picked up one of them. One of her hands was paralyzed, reports said. The other was torn off. Yesterday, a dead shell had been recovered from an under-construction tunnel in the East-West Metro project.
Bomb disposal was sent to handle yesterday's recovery
On Sunday, West Bengal Police had recovered the dead shell from the tunnel near Kadapara area. The bomb disposal squad was sent in to take care of it. After today's explosion, police and railway police have been rushed to the spot. More details are awaited.
