The trailer of the upcoming series Ziddi Girls was unveiled on Monday by Amazon Prime Video.
The show is a creative collaboration of Rangita and Ishita Pritish Nandy, produced under the banner of Pritish Nandy Communications Ltd.
Directed and written by Shonali Bose, Vasant Nath, and Neha Veena Sharma, it stars an ensemble cast including Simran, Nandita Das, Nandish Singh Sandhu, Lillete Dubey, Revathy, and newcomers Atiya Tara Nayak, Umang Bhadana, etc.
The eight-part series will premiere on February 27.
Plot details
'Ziddi Girls' explores college life and societal norms
Set in Matilda House College (MH), Ziddi Girls depicts a new generation of fearless students who challenge societal norms and stand up for what they believe in.
The series follows the journey of five young women as they navigate their college years at a prestigious Delhi institution. It explores the experiences of Gen-Z freshers who confront both the excitement and harsh realities of adulthood.
As the university becomes a battlefield of ideologies with ambition pitted against resistance, tensions rise.

'Ziddi Girls' offers a raw portrayal of young women
Bose emphasized that Ziddi Girls isn't just another college drama, but a raw, unfiltered depiction of what it means to be a young woman today.
"People can relate to the characters because they are all richly developed and have been through similar experiences," she said.
"As they grow up, dealing with friendships, aspirations, and personal challenges...the story feels very real and relatable."

Sharma and Nath also revealed that they did a lot of research and even drew from their own college experiences to make Ziddi Girls authentic, relevant, and deeply relatable.
