Zeenat Aman calls herself 'casual dresser,' finds designer outfits 'unwearable'
Bollywood veteran Zeenat Aman recently took to Instagram to share her views on fashion and her personal style. The 73-year-old actor, known for her roles in films like Don, Satyam Shivam Sundaram, and Hare Rama Hare Krishna, described herself as a "casual dresser" and revealed that she finds most designer outfits "unwearable." She also spoke about her collaboration with Oscar-winning designer Bhanu Athaiya.
'No other designer has come close to creating outfits...'
In her post, Aman praised Athaiya, the first Indian to win an Academy Awards, for designing her costumes in over 15 films. She described Athaiya as "prolific and meticulous," adding that the designer had a mannequin made to Aman's measurements for creating outfits. "No other designer in my life has come close to creating outfits for me that were as comfortable as they were sensual," she wrote.
'I am quite the casual dresser,' says Aman
Contrary to her image as a "woman of high fashion," Aman revealed that she is more of a casual dresser. She mentioned that a wealthy friend of hers would often gift her haute couture, only for the outfits to remain unworn in her wardrobe. This fate, she said, is also shared by her mother's exquisite sarees, which are the most meaningful clothing she owns.
Aman's post garners reactions from fellow actors
Aman's Instagram post quickly garnered reactions from her fans and fellow actors. Bhagyashree commented, "Stunner," while Shamita Shetty dropped a series of heart emojis. Esha Deol wrote, "OMG. Stunning," and Bhumi Pednekar expressed her admiration with a simple "Wow!!!" Aman's candid insights into her personal style and fashion choices have once again made her the talk of the town on social media.
