'Why India, why not here?': Zayn Malik's Pakistani fans heartbroken
When it was reported that former One Direction singer Zayn Malik, hailed as the next global pop-sensation, is touring India this year, his fans here were absolutely thrilled. But across the border, in Pakistan, many were left heartbroken, more so because Malik is of Pakistani origin. As the news spread, Pakistani Twitter users were left wailing. Well, can understand the feelings!
Things Indian fans of Malik should know about his concert
Zayn Malik is scheduled to kick-start his India tour from August 3. He will first perform in Mumbai and then move to cities like Kolkata, Hyderabad and Delhi. Vishal Pandey, Chief Operating Officer, JPR Events, which is organizing the events, said they are trying to get him to perform in Nepal. Pandey revealed he was earlier confused between Liam Payne and Zayn Malik.
In the past, Zayn has developed bonds with Indian celebrities
The 'Pillow Talk' hitmaker's bond with Indian stars can't be denied. Zayn Malik's selfie with Shah Rukh Khan in 2015 became the most retweeted photo in India that year. Not long ago, Malik performed a cover of Kailash Kher's 'Teri Deewani', that invited mixed reactions from people. Earlier this year, Malik revealed he was working with music maestro AR Rahman for a single.
The sadness of his Pakistani fans is understandable
Considering his popularity, it's natural for Zayn's Pakistani fans to feel bad. On Twitter, YouTuber Mahwash Ajaz wrote: "Hello, Zayn. Don't know why you won't come to Pakistan. It's a lovely country and girls there love you. Come, learn Urdu and have parathayas and puris." User @asif_haleema wrote: "You better add PAKISTAN otherwise I'm gonna cry my heart out for rest of my life."
"We love you more than anyone else!"

Dear Zayn Malik fans from Pakistan, don't lose hope
While nothing I write can do anything to curtail your sadness, it's best you don't lose hope, Pakistan. Maybe Zayn Malik's love for Pakistan would spark and he opts for a detour. Meanwhile, you guys always have Coke Studio to fall back on.
