Born to a family of classical musicians in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, Khan is the grandson of Sarangi Maestro Ustad Moinuddin Khan.
He spent a major part of his adult life in Delhi before making the switch to comedy.
Khan began as a radio producer and later joined the comedy collective AIB on their show On Air with AIB.
He has been a part of projects such as Chacha Vidhayak Hain Humare and Comicstaan.
