Siddhant Chaturvedi-led 'Yudhra' to release in September: Report
Following the success of Mom led by Sridevi, Ravi Udyawar partnered with Excel Entertainment for an action-packed thriller titled Yudhra. Siddhant Chaturvedi was cast in the lead role, with Malvika Mohanan signed on as the female protagonist. A Pinkvilla report has now revealed that Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's production house has set the release date for this action film: September 20.
'Yudhra' to feature Chaturvedi as 'Angry young man'
Yudhra is an action-packed film that has been shot both in India and overseas. The movie will feature Chaturvedi in a new avatar as an "Angry Young Man." This character portrayal is expected to add a fresh dimension to his acting repertoire. "The team is excited to bring their feature film to the spectacle on September 20," revealed an insider close to the development.
Raghav Juyal to play antagonist in 'Yudhra'
Raghav Juyal, fresh off the success of the internationally recognized Kill, has again been cast as the antagonist in Yudhra. Per the report, the film's plot will revolve around a confrontation between Chaturvedi and Juyal's characters. To note, Juyal recently made waves on OTT with his thriller series Gyaarah Gyaarah on ZEE5. Additionally, the ensemble cast includes renowned actors like Gajraj Rao and Ram Kapoor in significant roles.
Chaturvedi's journey and Excel Entertainment's upcoming projects
Chaturvedi, who rose to fame with his debut in Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt-starrer Gully Boy as MC Sher, has also received praise for his performance in Netflix's Kho Gaye Hum Kahan alongside Ananya Panday. Meanwhile, Excel Entertainment is working on several films including two ambitious Akhtar directorials: Don 3 and Jee Le Zaraa. Additionally, the Rahul Dholakia-directed Agni is in their pipeline too.
