'Yudhra' becomes Siddhant Chaturvedi's highest opener; mints ₹4.50 crore
Siddhant Chaturvedi and Raghav Juyal's latest action thriller, Yudhra, has made a promising debut at the box office. The film reportedly raked in ₹4.50 crore on its opening day, marking it as Chaturvedi's highest opener to date. This is a significant achievement compared to his previous releases, Phone Bhoot and Bunty Aur Babli 2, which reportedly earned ₹2.05 crore and ₹2.60 crore respectively on their first days.
'Yudhra' benefits from National Cinema Day offer
Yudhra was released on Friday, coinciding with National Cinema Day. To celebrate the occasion, several multiplex chains offered discounted ticket prices, some as low as ₹99. This strategic release date contributed to the film's strong opening day performance. According to Sacnilk, the movie witnessed an overall occupancy of 46.54% on Friday, with night shows recording the highest occupancy rate of 75.67%.
Mixed reviews for 'Yudhra'
Despite its strong box office performance, Yudhra has received mixed reviews from critics. While Chaturvedi has been praised for his acting skills, the screenplay and writing have received flak for being run-of-the-mill. Directed by Ravi Udyawar, it also stars Gajraj Rao, Ram Kapoor, and Malavika Mohanan. Farhan Akhtar-Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment produced it.
