Actor Anupam Kher's upcoming movie The Accidental Prime Minister, which started a political storm in the country, is back in news for a different reason now. The trailer of the movie has apparently gone missing from YouTube and Kher flagged the issue with the platform. But the trailer hasn't been 'removed', just shifted to later pages. Here's all about it.
Viewers weren't able to see the trailer, informs Kher
On Twitter, Kher wrote many people informed him typing The Accidental Prime Minister trailer on the search bar, doesn't yield the adequate result. For many, it appeared on the 50th position. "We were trending at No.1 yday. Please help (sic)," wrote Kher and boasted the trailer has crossed 37 million views. The movie is slated to release on January 11.

Notably, if one were to type 'The Accidental Prime Minister edited trailer' in the search bar, the clip comes as the first option. A number of videos made on the trailer, after its release on December 27, could be the reason why it went lower on the search result. Nevertheless, YouTube should fix the bug more so because the trailer clocked 38 million views.
Based on controversial book, the movie stayed in news
Directed by Vijay Gutte, the movie is based on Sanjaya Baru's book by the same name. It focuses on former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh's time in the office and touches on important incidents like the Nuclear deal and the corruption cases which mired the UPA-2 era. Akshaye Khanna plays the role of Baru, who was Dr. Singh's media advisor.

The release, ahead of Lok Sabha elections, has led to political battlelines being drawn. When BJP tweeted the trailer, it gave critics fodder. The saffron party was accused of cashing in on the movie, as it did in 2014 when the book released. Meanwhile, Kher claimed the movie is his best work and hoped Dr. Singh would call him after it.
