Divyanka's 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' to go off-air: Here's why
It's been over five years since Karan Patel and Divyanka Tripathi have been entertaining the audience with Yeh Hai Mohabbatein on Star Plus. The show has been among the audience's top favorite since its inception and ruling the TRP charts for a long time. However, much to everyone's surprise, the show will be going off-air next month. Here's why.
'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' has been under-performing for a while now
According to the media reports, YHM was struggling for decent TRP ratings for a while. "This very long-running series starring Divyanka and Karan had been under-performing for a while now. And now with Star engaged in a neck to neck fight with Colors, the channel is getting strict with numbers. Hence, they have decided to pull the plug off," a source was quoted saying.
'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' to return with a spin off
Reportedly, the show will be pulled down in April. Undoubtedly, YHM fans are disheartened with the news. However, much to their relief, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein will be returning with an interesting spin-off. "The show may go off air by next month. However, no official announcement has been made yet. But, we will come with a spin-off titled Yeh Hai Chaahatein," a source told Spotboye.
Meanwhile, 'YHM' cast clueless about the show's end
While the fans are still finding to it hard to digest the news of the end of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, lead actress Divyanka Tripathi is clueless about it. Divyanka aka YHM's Ishita Bhalla stated that the cast has no idea if the show is going off air anytime soon. "They haven't announced anything officially to the actors at least," she stated.
