Ye's laughing gas use is messing with his mind, memory
What's the story
Ye (formerly Kanye West) is again making headlines, but this time, it's for a concerning reason.
Multiple sources have reportedly told The Post that the rapper has relapsed into using nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas.
The development comes shortly after Ye's return to Los Angeles following a six-month absence. According to insiders, his relapse is believed to be linked to a recent dental procedure.
Relationship impact
Ye's nitrous oxide use reportedly strained his relationship
Ye's nitrous oxide use has reportedly strained his relationship with his wife Bianca Censori.
A source claimed, "The nitrous took over in Los Angeles. After the Grammy party [on February 2], he met people and it kind of escalated to things that he never does anymore when he's in Japan."
Another insider described how the 47-year-old rapper uses nitrous oxide as "medication," resulting in erratic behavior and impaired memory.
Memory issues
Ye's memory reportedly affected by nitrous oxide use
A former Yeezy (Ye's fashion brand) employee alleged that the rapper's memory has been severely impacted.
"His memory is so messed up this point," the ex-employee told The Post, adding that Ye would forget conversations and even people he worked closely with within days.
The person also said the rapper is "very easily influenced" and can be convinced of things without fact-checking them.
Controversies
Ye's controversial actions and rehiring of Milo Yiannopoulos
Apart from his health issues, Ye has also courted controversy for selling a T-shirt with a Nazi symbol online, prompting Shopify to take down his website.
He also rehired far-right radical Milo Yiannopoulos as his manager after firing him.
Last August, Yiannopoulos accused dentist Thomas Connelly of getting Ye addicted to nitrous oxide in a sworn affidavit filed with the California Dental Board.
Marriage status
Meanwhile, Ye's marriage to Censori reportedly remains intact
Despite reports of a possible split between Ye and Censori after two years of marriage, sources close to the couple think otherwise.
"Ye is a pretty stubborn person. I do believe that he loves her [Censori]. We were doing music dedicated to her as of the last six months," an insider told The Post.
The couple recently made headlines with their Grammy Awards red carpet appearance, where Censori donned a see-through dress made from sheer stockings.
