About Windlass Steelcrafts
The Dehradun-based company, established in 1943, initially used to manufacture 'khukris' (curved knives). The company's CEO Sarthak Gupta said the British Army's Gorkha regiment used these khukris during World War II. Windlass Steelcrafts started with 50 workers, but now it has over 500 in India and the US. They supplied weapons, costumes, armors, ensembles, essential battle equipment, etc. to more than 30 international productions.

For GoT, CEO Sarthak Gupta said they had the license for armors, helmets, and some LARP swords, including Jon Snow's 'Long Claw' and Arya Stark's 'Needle', and crucial components of the battle scenes in addition to the costumes.
