30-years later, Aamir, Rajinikanth to share screen in 'Coolie': Report
Superstar Rajinikanth is currently filming for his next project, Coolie (Thalaivar 171), in Vizag. The film, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, boasts a star-studded cast including Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, and Kannada actor Upendra. However, recent reports suggest that Bollywood icon Aamir Khan might make a special cameo in the movie. This would mark the first on-screen reunion for Rajinikanth and Khan since their 1995 film Aatank Hi Aatank.
'Coolie': A standalone film with a high-profile cast
Coolie is a standalone film and not part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). It is being produced on a large budget by Sun Pictures. Music is by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Girish Gangadharan, editing by Philomin Raj, action choreography by Anbariv, and art direction by Sathees Kumar. Initially, Akkineni Nagarjuna was considered for the antagonist's role, but it eventually went to Upendra for undisclosed reasons.
