#GameOfThrones: Fans' crazy theory about Bran Stark's absence from teaser
Winter will arrive soon for Game of Thrones fans, as HBO finally declared the airing date as April 14, for the eighth and final season of the acclaimed show. At the same time, they gave fans a new teaser, which showed the Starks, and hinted at the White Walker invasion they would have to face. However, Bran was missing from this clip. Here's why.
Crypt scene shows all Stark children except Bran
The teaser showed the remaining Stark children in the crypts of Winterfell haunted by their dead parents. For those unaware, the surviving Starks include Sansa, Jon, Arya, and Brandon or Bran. However, Bran was conspicuously missing from the HBO clip. This has caused wild speculations and theories among the fan base who have tried to narrow down on the reason for excluding Bran.
Accidental voyeur to cripple to Three-Eyed Raven, Bran's amazing journey
Bran's story has been fascinating (Spoilers ahead!). He witnessed Cersei and Jaime's incestuous relationship, and Jaime crippled him. Slowly gaining psychic abilities to phase into animals, Bran journeyed beyond the Wall with assistance, encountered White Walkers, and returned as the omnipresent and omnipotent Three-Eyed Raven.
Fans believe Bran becomes the Night King himself
Bran's ability to warg or phase into other animals and humans has led to terrible consequences for Hodor who was fated to die holding the door for Bran to escape the White Walkers. Thus, fans have theorized that Bran travels back to try and save the people of Westeros, only to be stuck inside the body of the Night King, which cannot be undone.
Fan theorizes that Bran brings the chill with him
Bran might lose his human form completely in final season
If the Night King theory was not chilling enough (pun intended) then some fans have an even crazier theory. They believe that Bran as the Three-Eyed Raven might lose his human form completely in the final season. While we are not sure how to react to this, it sure would be cool to see Bran become a Direwolf, embodying the sigil of his family.
Despite fan theories, teaser might not be related to show
Despite several interesting theories, there is a good chance that the teaser is shot separately and bears no effect on the events of the show. This has been the pattern for Game of Thrones' previous trailers. Either way, the final season has us all excited!
