Sridevi's sister was asked not to react on her demise
While the entire Kapoor family was visibly inconsolable after Sridevi's sudden demise, her sister Srilatha was nowhere to be seen in the picture. Several media reports stated that she would open up on the tragedy in the coming days but that did not happen either. Now, the latest update has it that Srilatha was told to remain tight-lipped during the entire episode.
A news portal quoted a source as saying
"Srilatha has been asked to remain quiet and out of the picture. We don't know why. We've also heard that Srilatha and her husband Satish will be given ownership of Sridevi's bungalow in Chennai," the report added.
The sisters did not share a pleasant relationship
All was reportedly not well between Sridevi and Srilatha. Several legal battles too went on between the two for many years. It was only after Boney Kapoor's intervention that the sisters decided to let go of the differences and remain cordial to each other. The sisters did not even meet each other quite often.
Sridevi passed away at the age of 54
On the fateful night of 24 February, Sridevi left for heavenly abode. She was found dead in the bathtub of her hotel room in Dubai by her husband Boney Kapoor. She had gone there to attend the wedding of her relative Mohit Marwah along with Boney and her younger daughter Khushi Kapoor. The late actress is regarded as India's first female superstar.
