When Sonam Kapoor called Shahid Kapoor the 'biggest bhondu'
In a throwback chat, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja once jokingly called her Mausam co-star Shahid Kapoor the "biggest bhondu (fool) in the world." She made this comment during the promotional events for their 2011 film, Mausam, which was directed by Kapoor's father, veteran actor Pankaj Kapur. Responding to Kapoor's reputation as a flirt and charmer, Kapoor Ahuja refuted this image and instead described him as a "simple, sweet, and wholesome good guy."
'Mausam' director Kapur's perspective on filmmaking
Speaking to Zoom, the Khoobsurat star had said, "No, he is not like that (a flirt). He is the biggest bhondu in the world..." Mausam remains their sole collaboration as well as Kapur's sole directorial. In a chat with India Today, Kapur admitted he loves directing but isn't keen on the whole script-selling hustle. "I mean, I don't mind if somebody comes to me and says do you have a script? Can I hear something? I'm ready to narrate it."
