Confirmed! Katrina leaves Remo's 'biggest dance film' for 'Bharat'
After being bowled over by Katrina Kaif's dance in Thugs Of Hindostan, we all have been waiting to see more of her moves. So when she was roped in for Remo D'Souza's 'biggest dance film' opposite Varun Dhawan, it was a dream come true for her fans. But much to everyone's disappointment, Katrina has opted out of the movie because of Salman Khan's Bharat.
Katrina is busy shooting for 'Bharat'
Reportedly, Katrina chose to walk out of Remo's movie owing to her hectic schedule. The actress is playing the lead in Bharat and is currently busy shooting for it. "Katrina has always been a thorough professional. She decided to step out of the film as her dates were clashing with Bharat, which she is currently shooting for," her spokesperson said in a statement.
It was a mutual decision, confirms producer Bhushan Kumar
After Katrina's exit, speculations about a tiff were obvious. However, producer Bhushan Kumar put the rumors to bed and called it a mutual decision. Notably, Bhushan is the producer of both Bharat and Remo's unnamed movie. "She is shooting for my film only with Salman Bhai. We are having a date clash, that's why we, unfortunately, had to do it," he told Hindustan Times.
Remo's movie to hit floors next month
Bhushan further mentioned that Katrina will be replaced by another A-list actress. He asserted that the team has "shortlisted two-three A-listers for the new girl". "We are starting (the shoot) on January 22, as per the schedule. We will soon be announcing the cast," Bhushan added. Notably, this will be Varun's second collaboration with Remo after ABCD 2.
