#MentalHaiKya: Did Kangana Ranaut, Ekta Kapoor fight over creative differences?
After basking in the success of her directorial debut Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi, Kangana Ranaut is all set for her next release, Mental Hai Kya, being produced by Ekta Kapoor. However, just ahead of the movie's release, reports said that the two strong-headed women were engaged in such a nasty argument over creative differences on the film sets, that the crew got worried.
Situation got tensed on 'Mental Hai Kya' sets, say reports
According to media reports, in the last leg of shooting, Kangana and Ekta had differences in opinion concerning taking a scene forward, which led to a bad argument. Since both the ladies are known to be stubborn, they, reportedly, refused to budge and accept the other's opinion. This naturally made the situation tensed on the sets, and the crew got worried.
Rangoli refutes rumors, says all is well between Kangana, Ekta
However, refuting rumors, Kangana's sister, Rangoli Chandel, dismissed reports of any tiff on the film sets. Defending her sister, Rangoli confirmed that all is well between Kangana and Ekta. "If people focus on themselves rather than on Kangana, they can certainly become a good person and an actor as well. No such thing ever happened on Mental sets," Rangoli wrote on Twitter.
Film marks reunion of Kangana, Rajkummar six years after 'Queen'
Apart from Kangana, Mental Hai Kya will also star Rajkummar Rao, Amyra Dastur and Satish Kaushik in the lead. The movie will mark Kangana and Rajkummar's reunion after five years. They were last seen in Vikas Bahl's 2014 release Queen. Mental Hai Kya is said to revolve around the complicated relationship of an ex-couple and deals with the sensitive topic of mental health.
'Mental Hai Kya' to release on May 24, 2019
Helmed by Prakash Kovelamudi, who won National Film Award for Bommalata, Mental Hai Kya will be releasing on May 24. Notably, the movie was earlier expected to release on February 22. However, the makers chose to postpone it twice in order to avoid competition with Manikarnika. Initially, the movie was to release on March 29, but then eventually got delayed till May 2019.
