Will fans eventually forget the three Khans? Aamir thinks so
What's the story
In a recent interview with Instant Bollywood, Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan said that he, along with fellow superstars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, will eventually be forgotten by fans.
He said, "Mujhe nahi lagta ki iske baad koi starnahi hoga. Humare baad bohot aayenge, hum log ginti main bhi nahi rahenge. Aap bhool jaoge humko."
The three Khans have been ruling Bollywood for three decades now.
Life cycle
'Yeh toh duniya ki reet hai...'
Khan further explained his opinion by citing a Hindu trinity of gods: "Yeh toh duniya ki reet hai- Brahma, Vishnu, Mahesh. Mahesh makes sure ki destruction hai, phir aap bhool jaate ho har cheez."
Just like these gods perform their duty in the circle of life, he and his contemporaries will also be forgotten one day, he believes.
Personal battles
Khan opened up about his struggle with depression
In the same interview, Khan spoke openly about his struggle with depression after his divorce from Reena Dutta.
He shared that he stopped working and started consuming alcohol to cope with it.
"I wasn't working or listening to scripts. I was alone at home, and for almost 1.5 years, I drank a lot," he added.
"You will be shocked to know that I was a teetotaler. After the split up, I didn't know what to do."
Coping strategies
Khan's advice on dealing with loss
Khan also shared what you can do to deal with loss.
"You have to face your losses and accept how important it was for you."
"Accept that what was once yours is not there now. Also, accept how good it was for you when it was there and how much you will miss it when it isn't there anymore."
On the professional front, Khan will appear in the upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par, expected to release later this year.
