Sana Makbul was declared the winner of Bigg Boss OTT 3 on Friday. The announcement was made by Anil Kapoor during a grand finale that saw a fierce competition between Makbul and rapper Naved Shaikh, also known as Naezy. Education and first steps in showbiz
Born in Mumbai, 31-year-old Makbul reportedly completed her schooling at Mumbai Public School. Thereafter, she pursued her graduation from RD National College in Mumbai and it was during her college years that she developed a penchant for modeling and acting. In 2009, she participated in MTVS Scooty Teen Diva and was crowned the Femina Miss Beautiful Smile in 2012.
Makbul's journey in television and film industry
She initiated her career with television shows such as Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon? and Kitni Mohabbat Hai 2. She later transitioned into the South Indian film industry, debuting in the Telugu film Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya in 2014. Despite her success in films, she returned to television with roles in shows like Aadat Se Majboor and Vish and gained nationwide fame for her stint on Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 11.
Health struggles and personal life
On the personal front, Makbul has been candid about her battle with Hepatitis, which caused water retention leading to a puffy face, swollen feet and hands, and weight gain. On World Hepatitis Day last year, she shared her progress from being an F3-F4 patient to F1-F2. In her romantic life, reports suggest that she is in a relationship with entrepreneur Srikanth Burredy and the two are planning to get married soon.
