#FathersDay: 6 times real-life father-children jodis played together in movies
The bond between a father and his son or daughter is one of the purest ones. Over the years, our film industry has churned out numerous movies based on this relationship. As the Father's Day is being celebrated all across the nation today, we decided to take a look at the films which featured a real-life father-children jodi.
Sunil Dutt and Sanjay Dutt
This gem by Rajkumar Hirani was essentially a father-son story and the presence of Sunil Dutt and Sanjay Dutt only made it much more special. The heart-warming chemistry of the real-life father-son duo left the audience teary-eyed by the end of the film. 'Munna Bhai MBBS' will always be cherished by the fans.
Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol
The Deol boys, Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, took us on an emotional roller-coaster in Anil Sharma's 'Apne' in 2007. Four years later, they returned with the fun-filled 'Yamla Pagla Deewana' and the audience was thrilled to see them on the big screen again. This year, they are coming with the third installment of the comedy film on August 15.
Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan
Though Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have shared the screen space in a number of films such as 'Bunty Aur Babli', 'Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna', 'Sarkar', but 'Paa' remains to be their most-loved outing till date. The R Balki film had Abhishek playing Big B's father. We hope they do many more movies together.
Rishi Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor
The second directorial venture of 'Dabangg' director Abhinav Kashyap, 'Besharam' brought Ranbir Kapoor together with his parents Rishi and Neetu Kapoor. The film, however, bombed at the box office but we certainly enjoyed the Kapoor family's camaraderie in it, especially the scenes between the father-son duo. Rishi and Ranbir owe another film to their fans.
Pankaj Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor
Cine buffs were yearning to see Pankaj Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor together in a film for a long time. And their wish finally came true in 2016 with 'Queen' director Vikas Bahl's 'Shaandaar'. Pretty much a forgettable affair, the only good thing about the film was the chemistry between the two actors. We would love to see them together once more.
Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja
One of the most adorable father-daughter jodis of Bollywood, Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor Ahuja are starring alongside each other in 'EK Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga'. Directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar, the film will be out on October 12. Watching the two together on the big screen will be a treat for the audience.
