Nawazuddin Siddiqui ko gussa kyun aata hai?
In all these years, Bollywood has disappointed us in many ways. Right from the scripts to acting to even songs, they have been peddling the same cliched content, ever since. Though Khans with their wrinkly faces have visibly aged, they are reluctant to 'act' their age. Now it seems, the very talented Nawazuddin agrees with us. Here's what he said in his recent media interaction.
Reporters, do us a favor, don't typecast Nawaz bhai
When he was asked about being stereotyped as a villain, he lost his cool and instead questioned the reporter. "Why don't you ask this question to the hero," he quipped. Agreeing with him, director Anurag Kashyap added, "Which hero of ours has done a new thing?"
SRK is still Raj, Bhai is still Prem
When was the last time Bollywood did something for the first time? Truth be told, they have always been scared of experimenting. They find one success formula, and keep repeating it to death. SRK is still Raj, Salman still plays Prem. I wouldn't call it stereotyping, I would rather call it 'bore-otyping'. Is anyone listening? About time, someone said it out loud. Kudos, Nawaz!
Nawazuddin is walking the talk
In this big banal world of Bollywood, actors like Nawazuddin stand out. A National School of Drama alumnus, he has always upped the ante for every actor. Even with his unconventional looks, rather rustic demeanor, he did manage to achieve what the so-called A-listers haven't been. He will now be seen alongside Radhika Apte and Saif Ali Khan in Netflix Original series 'Sacred Games'.
