'Mayanagari-City of Dreams': A political thriller set in Mumbai
Set in Mumbai, Mayanagari-City of Dreams is a political thriller that follows the journey of two power-hungry siblings, Poornima, and Ashish Gaikwad, as they fight over their father's empire after an assassination attempt on him. Directed by National Award-winner Nagesh Kukunoor, the series stars Atul Kulkarni, Priya Bapat, Sachin Pilgaonkar, Eijaz Khan and Siddharth Chandekar, and premieres on May 3, 2019.
'At The Heart Of Gold': Documentary on Larry Nassar's victims
At The Heart Of Gold is a documentary about the Larry Nassar sexual abuse scandal. After having worked with athletes for decades, Dr. Nassar was exposed in 2016 following a report on alleged sexual abuse. The documentary follows his victims' accounts and also deals with how Nassar evaded the law, pointing out the flaws in the sports system. The documentary premiers May 4, 2019.
'Chernobyl' dramatizes the story of the 1986 nuclear accident
As you probably would have already guessed by its name, Chernobyl tells the story of the horrific April 1986 nuclear accident in Pripyat, in northern Soviet Ukraine. Created by Craig Mazin, this mini-series details why and how the accident happened, and also remembers the brave people who tried to prevent the disaster. Chernobyl will release on Hotstar on May 7, 2019.
