Quick recap of 'Emily in Paris' Season 4 Part 1
The fourth season of Netflix's Emily in Paris is all set to return for Part 2. The first part has already been released last month, while the second part will premiere on Thursday (September 12). The show's protagonist, Emily Cooper (played by Lily Collins), faces significant developments in her Parisian adventure, particularly as one of the long-standing love triangles concludes and another becomes more complicated. Here's a quick recap of Part 1 before you watch Part 2.
Emily makes a choice between Gabriel and Alfie
In Season 4 Part 1, the love triangle involving Emily, Gabriel (Lucas Bravo), and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) reaches a climax during the masquerade ball. Both Gabriel and Alfie express their feelings for Emily at this event. For the first time, Emily makes a decisive choice and ends up in Gabriel's arms. This development leaves Alfie in a state of unresolved tension with Emily.
Camille and Gabriel face personal disappointments
Meanwhile, the love triangle between Emily, Gabriel, and Camille (Camille Razat) becomes more complex. Camille reunites with her Greek lover, Sofia (Melia Krieling), in Season 4 but they eventually part ways due to their differing life stages. Gabriel is revealed to be the father of Camille's child. However, a twist occurs when Camille discovers that she was never pregnant, a fact she hides from Gabriel.
Sylvie confronts her past in 'Emily in Paris' Season 4
In Season 4, Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu), one of the show's most influential characters, reflects on her past experiences as an assistant at JVMA. This introspection is triggered when she encounters Louis de Leon (Pierre Deny) after JVMA acquires and loses Agence Grateau's first client, Pierre Cadault (Jean-Christophe Bouvet). Sylvie agrees to be interviewed for an exposé about the sexual harassment she endured at JVMA.
Mindy and her band gear up for Eurovision
Emily's best friend Mindy (Ashley Park) also faces challenges in Season 4 as her band is invited to Eurovision, but they must finance the theatrical aspects of their performance. Mindy manages to raise some money for Eurovision by selling one of the extravagant outfits gifted to her by her boyfriend, Nicolas de Leon (Paul Forman). The upcoming part of the season will likely showcase the band's further preparations for their Eurovision performance.
