Jared Leto's Joker emerges from blurred vision to ominous clarity
Spoil yourself only if you want to know more about this facade of Joker brimming with inevitable danger. Yes, director Zack Snyder has unveiled a crystal-clear look of Joker, played by Jared Leto, which is far more satisfying than the blurred teaser released recently. Here, we see Leto carrying a look resembling that of a frustrated Pennywise from It. But he means business now.
How does he look in this one?
The first look shows Leto's Joker sitting on a chair inside an empty cell of sorts, which indicates that this sequence may relate to Arkham Asylum. There is a direct gaze from Joker toward the camera, that is surely going to freak you out. And, there is another image showing the side profile of Joker, shared exclusively with Vanity Fair.
Tattoos no more, just the madness
We should thank Snyder for stripping Joker off those unnecessarily loud tattoos all over himself as shown in David Ayer's Suicide Squad. Now, Leto looks like the only thing his Joker clings onto are that face makeup and his infallible lunacy. This is the biggest add-on to the director's cut of Justice League and attempts to explain the easter egg in the 2016 movie.
Remember the Joker easter eggs from 'Batman v Superman'?
In Batman v Superman, we saw two prominent hints of Joker's inclusion in Snyder's version, one being the graffitied words on the suit of dead Robin and the other the card strapped on to Batman's gun. We might also have escaped the graffiti on pillars inside the building where Superman and Batman fought. The artwork resembled the letters JOE+KR. Snyder explains his plan now.
Joker talks how he ruined Bruce Wayne
When given a chance to redo Justice League, Snyder came up with the only possible plan of including Joker without leaving the scope of a future film involving Joker-Batman clash hanging. This is a dream sequence in which Joker confronts Batman about his past role in killing Robin and burning down Wayne Manor. This happens while Darkseid wreaks havoc. Are you thrilled yet?
